The Tearjerkers are named after the Soul Tears they collect, and the characteristic jerking movement they use to pry the crystals loose. Their work brings them to dangerous places where many souls have degraded, usually this means many a ghost, undead and other warped souls may linger there. The degrading of souls is what causes “shedding tears”, which translates to “soul tear crystals growing”.
The faction deals with negotiating prices on the crystals, recruiting jerkers, soul R&D, and have workshops that fashion the raw crystals into soul jugs.
